POSTOPERATIVE PTOSIS AFTER CATARACTAND RADIAL KERATOTOMY SURGERY
This study was undertaken to determine the incidence and aetiopathogenesis of postoperative ptosis after cataract and radial
keratotomy in a follow up six months period. 11'cases (one with radial keratotomy surgery) 21,5% and 5 cases with cataract
9,8% were defined at the end of second and sixth month successively. Dehiscense of levator aponeurosis and dysfunction of the
Muller muscle were found to be responsible for postoperative ptosis occurance.Keywords: Cataract surgery, Radial keratotomy surgery, Postoperative ptosis
