THE EFFECT OF ANTERIOR CHAMBER WITHIN GLAUCOMA PATIENTS WITH
PSEUDOEXFOLIATION SYNDROME
The pseudoextoliation syndrome (PSX) is often associated with glaucoma. Up to now, many reports have been
presented to explain its patogénesis. In this study, we evaluated anterior chamber width which was classified by
Shaffer, in patients with PSX syndrome. Our purpose was to find out the difference of the anterior chamber width
between the patients with PSX syndrome with and without glaucoma. The results were evaluated by the chi-square
statistical method. Closure and narrow angle were 25.4% in patients with PSX syndrome. The ratio of closure and
narrow angle has increased the patients with PSX syndrome with glaucoma. The difference of the anterior chamber
width between the patients with PSX syndrome with and without glaucoma was statistically significant (x2- 8.358,
