SUMMARY
COLOR DOPPLER IMAGING IN EXAMINATION OF ORBITAL AND OCULAR VESSELS
30 orbits and eyes of 15 healty subjects were examined with Color Doppler Imaging. Choroideal and retinal blood
flow are delineated seperately by the same method on a patient with retinal detachment. Ophthalmic artery, central
retinal artery and vein, posterior ciliary arteries, lacrimal artery, superior ophthalmic vein, vortex veins and chorioretinal
vasculature are easily displayed at their usual anatomic locations. In healty subjecs, Samples from Color Doppler
Imaging photographs and spectral analysis traces are given. With this study, Color Doppler Imaging is proved as a
noninvasive, easy to use and quite valuable diagnostic procedure in ophthalmology.Keywords: Color Doppler Imaging, orbital vessels, Ocular vessels
