Choristomas are the most common epibulbar tumors in the pediatric age group. In this article, retrospective analysis of clinical
characteristics of 23 patients with epibuloar choristomas are presented. Mean age was 11 years. The major complaint was growing
mass in 26.08%, red eye in 26.08%, and cosmetic blemish in 47.82%. The majority of lesions (73.51%) were located at the
corneoscleral limbus. In 22 cases (95.65%) temporal quadrants were involved. No systemic association was observed. Histopathologically
most (69.56%) of the cases were dermoids, followed by lipodermoids (21.73%), and single-tissue choristomas
(8.69%). 82.60% of the lesions were removed totally and remaining 17.40% subtotally. Apart from a mild opacity after excision of
Timbal dermoids no post-operative complication was observed. [Oftalmoloji 1993; 2(2): 210-213]Keywords: Choristoma, Dermoid, Lipodermoid, Single-tissue ohoristoma
