THE FALSE-POSITIVE DIOGNOSIS RA TE IN GLAUCOMA
In this study, 41 patients that had been using antiglaucomatous medication that all of the patients had diagnosed out
of our clinic had reevaluated and reexamined with tonometry, diurnal fluctation, perimetry, stereofotographic observation
of optic nerve head. During 29 (6-37) months follow-up period, 26 (63.5 %) patients who had been used antiglaucomatous
drugs in 2.7 years (1 week - 10 years) were found free from glaucomatous signs. As the glaucoma is a complex
disease, all of the examination methods must be performed to confirm the diagnosis in the suspect of glaucoma.Keywords: Glaucoma, False-positive diagnosis
