EYE MOVEMENT DISORDERS IN THYROID OPHTHALMOPATHY AND THEIR TREATMENT WITH BOTULINUM
TOXIN INJECTIONS AND EXTRAOCULAR MUSCLE SURGERY
In this paper we investigated 6 Graves' ophthalmopathy patients who necessitated botulinum toxin injection and/or
extraocular muscle surgery because of annoying diplopia. These cases were choosen from 55 Graves' ophthalmopathy
patients followed between 1989-93. Patients in active stage were treated with botulinum toxin injections succesfully.
Patients in inactive stage benefited from extraocular muscle surgery. Our findings were compared with those of
