THE RESULTS OF THE OPERATIONS IN THE PATIENTS WITH PRIMARY INFERIOR
OBLIQUE HYPERFUNCTION
Recession and tenotomy are the techniques mostly used in the surgical treatment of primary inferior oblique muscle
hyperfunction. This study was carried out in Çukurova University, Medical Faculty Department of Ophthalmology, between
September 1990- February 1994. In order to evaluate the effect of recession and tenotomy, surgery was applied to
46 eyes of 37 patients: inferior oblique muscle recession to 27 eyes, tenotomy to 13 eyes.
We concluded that postoperative success rate was rather good in the inferior oblique muscle recession applied
