Lens Luksasyonlarında Pars Plana Vitrektomi

PARS PLANA VITRECTOMY FOR LENS LUXA TION
Extraction of luxated crystalline lens was performed by pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) in 17 eyes of 17 cases.
Perfluorodecaline was used and limbal extraction was performed by lens loop in 14 of 17 cases. Microvitreoretinal blade
was used to bring the lens to the pupillary area and extracted by limbal way using lens loop in 3 cases. Transsclerally
sutured posterior chamber or anterior chamber intraocular lens implantation was performed in 12 cases with no posterior
segment pathology. Visual acuity was improved in 16 cases except 1 case with choroid rupture, after a mean follow-up
time of 11 months. Cystoid macular edema (4 cases) and glaucoma (2 cases) were the most frequent complications
postoperatively. It is concluded that extraction of luxated lens by PPV, especially using perfluorodecaline is a very
