Thyroid eye disease is characterized by a combination of a variety of clinical signs. The clinical and laboratory
findings of 76 patients were examined who were following up for thyroid eye disease in our clinic. The diagnostic criteria
were reviewed for each patient individually. Lid lag in 3, superior limbal staining in 5, and increase of intraocular pressure
on upgaze in 4 cases, were the only positive clinical signs for thyroid eye disease. In such patients the diagnosis was
confirmed by detailed history and computed tomography of the orbit. It was observed that patients with thyroid eye
disease may attend with slight and many different symptoms. It was concluded that the signs, that could only be realized
during a careful examination, can be diagnostic with the confirmation of the diagnosis by laboratory findings. Keywords: Thyroid eye disease. Proptosis
