PTOSIS SURGERY WITH MERSILENE MESH SLING MATERIAL
Unilateral Mersilene Mesh sling procedure Is applied to 12 ptosis patients In Ankara Numune Hospital 1st Eye Clinic
between 1992-1994 and the results are evaluated. The mean patient age was 10.7 years old (3-25) and the mean follow
up time was 13.2 months (4-31). Visual axis was unobstructed in all patients postoperatively. Esthetic improvement was
achieved In all patients except one and this case was reoperated. A permanent suture granuloma developed in one
patient and no other important complication is recorded during patients follow up.Keywords: Ptosis, Ptosis surgery, Frontal sling, Mersilene mesh
