Intraocular pressure, visual field examination fundoscopie, retinal nerve fibre photography, stereoscopic optic disc
head Imaging, computerised optic disc head and retina with color doppler ultrasonography methods in diagnosis and
follow up of primary open angle glaucoma (POAG).
Main goal in diagnosis of glaucoma Is to catch the patients before the nerve fibre defects occur, in order to give them
the best vision through out their life.
In our study; we Investigated color vision defects in patients with normal visual fields compare to ocular hypertension,
suspected glaucoma, and POAG with defects in the visual fields, and deficits in differential threshold values.
We have found in patients with ocular hypertension and suspected glaucoma, the color vision deterioretes with
evident deficit in blue-yellow axis due to intraocular pressure, independent of other factors. Defect in color vision was
more marked in patients with POAG.
It was concluded that the routine use of the FM 100-Hue test Is very useful! in the early diagnosis and follow up of
people with a family history of glaucoma and with borderline values of intraocular pressure.Keywords: Glaucoma, 100-Hue test
