MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING OF OPTIC NERVE COLOBOMA
Optik disc colobomas are congenital anomalies of the eyes secondary to faulty closure of embryonic fissure. They
have great significance as a clue to associated ocular anomalies, systemic problems and as a marker of inherited
disease. Also they can cause decreased visual acuity. We are presenting magnetic resonance imaging of an optic nerve
coloboma case. To our knowledge this is the first case in ophthalmological literature demonstrated by magnetic resonance
