Pulsair Non-kontakt Tonometre Ile Goldmann Applanasyon Tonometresinin Karşılaştırılması

COMPARISON OF THE PULSAIR NON-CONTACT TONOMETER WITH GOLDMANN APPLANATION
In this study, the pulsair 2000 non-contact tonometer is compared with the goldmann applanation tonometer from the
view points of efficiency and reliability. Data form 166 eyes of 83 patients were analyized (45 male, 38 female, mean of
ages - 55.1 ±14.5 (14-90). A linear regression analysis showed the relationship between the instruments to be: Pulsair
OD- 0.99 x Goldmann - 0.17, Pulsair OS- 0.77 x Goldmann + 4.09, Pulsair Total - 0.83 x Goldmann + 2.9 (p<0.0001).
In right eyes 94% (78 eyes), in left eyes 86% (71 eyes), bilateral 90% (149 eyes) of averaged intraocular pressure
measurements obtained with the pulsair 2000 non-contact tonometer fell on or with in ±3 mmHg of those measured with
the goldmann tonometer. According to these measurements it is concluded that the pulsair 2000 non-contact tonometer
can provide clinically useful measurements of intraocular pressure.Keywords: Tonometer, Pulsair, Non-contact tonometer
