Baziler İmpresyon Ve Arnold Chiari Malformasyonlarının İlk Bulgusu Olarak Akkiz Esotropya

ACQUIRED ESOTROPIA AS PRESENTING SIGN OF BASILAR IMPRESSION AND
ARNOLD CHIARI MALFORMATION
Basilar impression and Arnold Chiari Malformation are two congenital anomalies that could remain unrecognised
until symptoms start at certain age. Generally the first symptoms are hyperactive deep tendon reflexes and nystagmus.
Rarely, the presenting symptoms is acquired esotropia which could be due to sixth nerve palsy or very rarely due to
divergence palsy. We are presenting two cases of acquired esotropia, one with Arnold Chiari malformation and the other
with basilar impression together with Arnold Chiari malformation.Keywords: Acquired esotropia, Basilar impression, Arnold Chiari malformation
