Fakotrabekülektomi Ve İntraokiller Lens İmplantasyonu: Erken Sonuçlarımız

PHACOTRABECULECTOMY AND INTRA OCULAR LENS IMPLANTATION: EARLY RESULTS
We studied 15 eyes of 14 patients who underwent combined phacoemulsification and intra ocular lens
implantation with trabeculectomy. The mean follow-up was 6.07±3.59 (mean±standart deviation) months.The
intraocular pressure decreased from pre-operative 25.13±3.14 mmHg to post-operative 15.6±2.97 mmHg at the last
control. Visual acuity (10/10, without correction) increased from pre-operative 0.15±0.11 to post-operative 0.67±0.34
at the last control.Before the operation; despite the maximal anti glaucomatous medical treatment intraocular
pressures were higher than 21 mmHg in each eye. After phacotrabeculectomy all the patients stoped using all anti
glaucomatous medical treatment and intra ocular pressures were lower than 18 mmHg in each eye. The known
complication and rehabilitation rates of extracapsular cataract extraction with trabeculectomy were compared with our
results in phacotrabeculectomy and phacotrabeculectomy has more advantages than the other.
Phaco-trabeculectomy is a safe and effective combined method for patients who has cataract and glaucoma.Keywords: Phaco-trabeculectomy , Cataract , Glaucoma , Intraocular lens
