Orbital Bölge Analizinde Posteroanterior Sefalometrik Radyografinin Yeri

POSTEROANTERİOR CEPHALOMETRIC ANALYSIS IN THE ORBIT
Current analysis of the orbit would benefit from accurate objective and quantitative methods of measurements. A
prospective study was undertaken to evaluate the importance of posteroanterior cephatometric analysis in the orbital
region. Posteroanterior cephatometric radiographs were taken from 12 female and 12 male persons between the ages of
16-21 who had normal craniofacial complex. The height, the width and the area of the each orbital entrance and the
distance between the midsagital axis and the medial orbital margin were calculated from cephalometric tracings. Evaluation
of the all cephalometric variables showed the absence of any significant difference between the right and left orbits
in both male and female groups (p>0.05). Posteroanterior cephalometric radiography is intended a quantitative and
