Visual Prognosis In Uveitis

VISUAL PROGNOSIS IN UVEITIS
A hundred and thirty eyes of 65 uveitis cases were evaluated in respect to visual prognosis after at least 6 months of
follow-up including etiological investigations. The etiology could not be determined in 48% of cases. The ratio of those
whose etiologies were determined was 32%. Behget's disease was seen in 20% of cases. Bilateral involvement and
recurrences were high, the mean age was low and the improvement in visual acuity with medical and surgical means
was bad in cases with Behget's.
It was concluded that the visual loss in uveitis patients was related to the age, the recurrence rate and the involved
