Kanaliküler Tıkanıklarda Silikon Tüp Entübasyonu Sonuçlarımız

This study was carried out in 29 eyes of 26 patients (3 canalicular stenosis, 7 obstruction at the lateral aspect of the common canaliculus and 19 medial canalicular obstruction at lacrimal sac junction). Of the patients, 24(92.3%) were female. The patients underwent bicanalicular silicone tube intibation with dacryocystorhinostomy. The duration of intubation was planned as 3 months. It was found that the silicone tube was quitely tolerable by the patients and did not lead to any functional or esthetical problem to the patients. The success was achieved in 89.6% of the eyes. It was recommended that silicone tube intubation for canalicular system obstruction may be safe, reliable and successful.Keywords: Canalicular obstruction, Silicone tube intubation, CanaliculodacryocystorhinostomyTurkiye Klin Oftalmoloji 1997, 6:27-30
