Primary open angle glaucoma, normal tension glaucoma and glaucoma suspect 205 patients were taken into the study. Patients were in different stages of glaucoma. In the first computerised perimetric test detected scotomas were evaluated. In the early stage of glaucoma isolated paracentral scotoma and in later stages peripheral concentric depression were the most frequently seen specific visual field defects. Enlargement of the blind spot is very common and non specific finding, it could be seen in normal persons also. There were cases with peripheral visual field defects before the development of central scotomas. Therefore peripheral visual field testing is important. Paracentral depression at Bjerrum area is the most frequent finding in glaucoma suspect patients.
