Göz Kliniği, Şefi, İSTANBUL 130 cases which were operated for lacrimal drainage system disorders, between 1987-1995 were included into this study. 114 of the operations were primary while 16 of them were secondary. The results of this operations were presented to evaluate lacrimal surgery modalities. A wide range of surgical techniques including Dupuy-Dutemps-Bourguet, endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, conjonctivodacryocystorhinostomy etc., were used. Functional success rate was 87% in primary group and 80% in the latter. Early results of the endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy technique which has been used since June 1995 in conjunction with ENT department, yielded 100% functional success. This new technique when used in convenient cases was thought to be promising. Keywords: Dacryocystorhinostomy, Dupuy-Dutemps-Bourguet technique, Endonasal endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy, Conjonctivodacryocystorhinostomy, Jones’ pyrex tube, Silicone tubeTurkiye Klinikleri Oftalmoloji 1997, 6:84-88
