Gözyaşı Bezi Pleomorfik Adenomu

Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları ABD, ANKARA The accurate clinical diagnosis of pleomorphic adenoma of lacrimal gland is imperative for proper therapeutic management. Retrospectively; clinical features, prevalance, treatment modalities, and effect of treatment on clinical course were investigated. Lacrimal gland epithelial tumor were detected of 33 cases seen in Ankara University School of Medicine Ophthalmology Department between 1973 and 1994. 15(45.4%) of the 33 patients in this serial were evaluated as pleomorphic adenoma. There have been 3 recurrence of tumor in patients with mean follow-up 6 years. En bloc resection avoids the risk of tumor recurrence, and/or malignant transformation caused by preliminary biopsy or incomplete resection.Keywords: Epithelial tumors of th lacrimal gland, Pleomorphic adenoma, Diagnosis, TherapyTurkiye Klinikleri Oftalmoloji 1997, 6:94-97
