Results Of Foldable Acrylic Intraocular Lens Implantations

Results of 49 eyes of 47 patients who had small incision cataract surgery with foldable acrylic intraocular lens implantation were evaluated. Visual acuity of 10/10 without correction was obtained in 22.4 % of eyes on the first day following surgery and 81.6 % at the first month. Although there wasn't any significant difference between preoperative and postoperative surgically induced keratometric cylinder at the first day and first month (p>0.05), that was very close to significance (p=0.048) at the 3rd month postoperatively. Neodymium-YAG laser capsulotomy was performed in 5 cases at early postoperative period (on day 7). There wasn't any significant difference between preoperative and postoperative intraocular pressures.Keywords: Acrylic lens,
