Congenital amniotocele refers to a distended lacrimal sac present around birth and manifesting as a bluish cystic swelling below the medial canthal area. Our case was a 14-day-old female, and was the product of a full-term uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery . Nasolacrimal duct probing was performed for the purpose of treatment, and the probe was broken during the application. It recurred one week after probing. Silicon intubation was performed when she was 29-days- old. Such a rare complication should be considered during the application of nasolacrimal canal probes. Keywords: Amniotocele, Probing,
