Biometric Measurements In Normal Eyes By A-mode Ultrasonography

208 eyes of 104 patients are examined by A-mode ultrasonography in reference to axial length, anterior chamber depth and lens thickness. Consequently, we found that lens thick-ness has been increasing with age, anterior chamber depth reduces while lens thickness increases, in women especially in the 55-65 age group there is a conspicious increasement on lens thickness, axial length is longer than women, there is no difference between men and women in reference of anterior chamber depth. The relations among the results and the clinical importance of them are discussed. It is aimed to find out the normal values for Turkish people.Keywords: Biometry, Normal eyes,
