After a mean follow up period of 12.4±5.6, (+1)-(+3) residual hyperfunction was observed in 3 eyes and one eye showed adherence syndrome. The overall success rate was 90.9 % but when the residual hyperfunction under the level of (+2) was omitted, this rate increased as 95.9 %. 2 (20 %) eyes out of 10 having unilateral inferior oblique tenotomy showed inferior oblique hyperfunction in the other eye after a mean period of 7.1±2.8 months. The surgical method choiced, has been evaluated and we have concluded that, it is an effective, easy and safe procedure. Keywords: Inferior oblique muscle,
