In this study 70 conjunctival swab taken from 35 hemodialysis patients were inoculated to Thioglycolate boullion, Eosine Methylene Blue agar, Sabouraud dextrose agar and %5 blood agar and results were evaluated. There were bacterial growth in 46 of 70 haemodialysis patients eyes (%65.7); S. aureus in 25 eyes (%35.7), S. epidermidis in 17 eyes (%24.3), Corynebacteriacea spp. in 4 eyes (%8.3), Streptococcacea spp. in 2 eyes (%2.8) were isolated. In our study S. aureus colonization was found to be more frequently than the normal conjunctival flora. Antibiotic susceptibility of S.aureus was investigated by disc diffusion method. Resistances to penicillin and ampicillin were detected highly, but resistances to vancomycin, teicoplanin and tobramycin were not detected. Keywords: Conjunctival flora,
