Long Term Results Of Argon Laser Trabeculoplasty

* Doç.Dr.,Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz AD,** Araş.Gör.Dr.,Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz AD,*** Prof.Dr.,Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz AD, İZMİR 297 eyes of 167 patients in which Argon Laser Trabeculoplasty (ALT) was performed in Dokuz Eylül University, School of Medicine, Department of Ophtalmology between the years 1990 and 1996 were followed for 35.69±14.58 months (12-60). Clinical criteria for success were defined as: final intraocular pressure of less than 21 mmHg, no progressive optic nerve damage or no glaucomatous visual field loss , and no addition to the previous topical medications or filtration surgery. By using life table analysis the cumulative probability of success were as follows: 86% at 1 year, 71% at 2 years, 51% at 3 years, 49% at 4 years and 41% at 5 years.Keywords: Argon Laser TrabeculoplastyTurkiye Klinikleri J Ophthalmol 1998, 7:270-272
