In our study, first and third visual field tests of 100 patients with diagnosis of primary open angle glaucoma or glaucoma suspect were studied. Test validity, reliability indices, intratest fluctuations and mean quadrant sensitivity values were compared between the first and third tests and also between the right and left eyes.
Test validity rate was 83-89%. Test validity rate was not statistically different between the right and left eyes, between the first and third tests. On the third visual field tests, mean quadrant sensitivity was significantly better and intra-test fluctuations decreased. Fixation losses, false positive and false negative responses were not different between the first and third tests, between the right and left eyes. Visual acuity, intraocular pressure, optic nerve cupping ratios, glaucoma medication and sex were not related to test validity. Keywords: Visual field test, Reliability index,
