The Combination Of Gonioplasty And Argon Laser Trabeculoplasty In The Treatment Of Narrow Angled Glaucoma

We performed combined argon laser gonioplasty (ALG) and argon laser trabeculoplasty (ALT) in 41 eyes of 23 patients between 1994 and 1996. During the first 4 weeks and at the end of a mean follow period of 12.3 ± 2.1 months , statistically significant reduction of intraocular pressure was observed and the success rate was %75. During the follow-up 3 eyes had trabeculectomy , 2 eyes needed YAG laser iridotomy, 5 eyes needed additive medical therapy. Postoperatively widening detected at the iridocorneal angle. After laser therapy, 8 eyes (%20) had mild iritis.Keywords: Narrow angle glaucoma,
