The cases were followed postoperatively in average 11.9±17.6 months. The success rate was %100 in patients aging 4 to 6 months; %96.9 in patients aging 7 to 12 months and %85.4 between 13-48 months. Overall the success rate was %91.4 The cure rate decreased when the probing age is increased. But there was no statistical difference between the 3 groups(c2=3.85, p=0.14). So we concluded that probing is a good choice in the treatment of congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction before dacryosystorhinostomy in childhood. Keywords: Epiphora, Congenital nasolacrimal duct
