The Results Of Argon Laser Photocoagulation In The Treatment Ofdiabetic Maculopathy

69 eyes of 39 patients with diabetic maculopathy, who were treated and followed between February 1995-December 1997, were examined retrospectively.
The patients, who were to be treated for diabetic maculopathy, were chosen from the subjects in preproliferative and background phases, no patient was treated with PRF. Focal and grid treatment were given for the treatment of diabetic maculopathy. The difference in visual acuity variations between the two groups was not statistically significant (f=0.03, p>0.05). At the end of the treatment, 31-37% of the patients had a increase in vision, 33-38% had a decrease in vision and 31% had no change in vision.Keywords: Diabetes, Maculopathy, Laser,
