All had enlarged steep-margined blind spots without optic disc edema. Two patients had MEWDS (multiple evanescent white dot syndrome), two had POHS (presumed ocular histoplasmosis syndrome). One patient had normal fundus examination. Four patients recovered visual acuity to 20/20 at the last follow-up visit. One patient with POHS developed a SRNVM ( subretinal neovascular membrane) with 20/200 visual acuity. All patients had resolution of semptoms. Repeated visual fields obtained in three patients showed a normal blind spot. Acute blind spot enlargement may be idiopathic or associated with other retinal diseases. Further prospective studies are needed to determine the mechanisms of blind spot enlargement and the relationship with other retinal disease. Keywords: Acute blind spot enlargement, Optic disc,
