It has been found out that these cases, who came to our clinic with the symptoms of lid oedema, conjunctival chemosis, severe mucopurulent discharge and PEK (punctate epithelial keratitis), had been examined by the same diagnostic contact lens in 2 successive days. From 9 out of 17 cases, conjunctival scraping sample has been taken for culture antibiogram. The culture has been found out to be negative in 5 cases. In 1 case a bacteries of the flora, in 2 cases methicillin-resistant and in 1 case methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus epidermidis have been isolated. Disinfection is extremely important in the use of diagnostic contact lenses and the tendency to ocular surface infections increases in operated cases. Keywords: Diagnostic contact lens,
