Material and Method: Intraocular pressure, pupil diameter, interpalpebral distance, iris color, visual acuity and field, and side effects of this drug were evaluated in 30 eyes of 21 patients during 18 months.
Results: Mean intraocular pressure was 19.1±1.0 mmHg at the end of 18 months while it was 27.93 ± 5.0 mmHg after cessation of primer therapy. A second additional drug was needed to lower the intraocular pressure in 25 (84%) patients. Surgical intervention was applied in 7 patiens (23%) without effective intraocular pressure reduction. The protective ratio from surgery is 77%. There is no statistically significant difference in terms of pupil diameter and iris color before and after treatment (p=0.698; p=0.912).
Conclusion: As a result; the use of 2% topical dorsolamide hydrocloride seems to be a good choice for the chance of medical antiglaucomatous therapy. Keywords: Glaucoma, dorsolamide,
