Posterior Capsule Opacification - (i) Physiopathology

The most frequently encountered problem after extracapsular cataract surgery is posterior capsule opacification (PCO). PCO leads to patients suffering from glar and reduce in visual acuity. In this article, the incidence of PCO, the factors influencing PCO, types of PCO, and pathogenesis and cells of origin of PCO were reviewed.
