Mean follow up period was 10 (between 6-20) months. The surgical success was achieved in 4 (%100) eyes that the recession technique was performed and in 14 out of 15 eyes that the tenotomy technique was performed. Adherence syndrome, inferior oblique underaction, scleral perforation, macular damage or denervation of pupilla were not observed in any of the cases. Conclusion: We found that inferior oblique muscle recession and tenotomy methods were quite effective and reliable in primary IOOA cases. Keywords: Inferior oblique overaction, Inferior oblique recession, Inferior oblique tenotomyTurkiye Klinikleri J Ophthalmol 2003, 12:82-86
