Case Report: A seven-year-old girl came to our department because of a mass seen in her left eye. She told that there was a redness in that region and two months ago the lesion began to grow and this enlargement was faster during the last month. There was a lesion located in the temporal interpalpebral region near the limbus in her left eye. The dimension of the lesion was 3 x 4 mm and it was nodular, vascularized, mobile, pigmented and keratinizated. Excision of the tumor with a lateral margin of 3 mm, combined with cauterization of the base was performed. The mass was reported as conjunctival intraepithelial neoplasia after histopathological examination. There was no evidence of recurrent tumor six months after the excision. Conclusion: Rapid growing conjunctival lesions must bring to mind conjunctival squamous cell carcinoma even seen at an uncommon age and sex, and be treated with appropriate methods. Keywords: Conjunctival intraepithelial neoplasia, Squamous cell carcinoma, Surgical excisionTurkiye Klinikleri J Ophthalmol 2003, 12:112-115
