We used an en bloc polyethylene implant to reconstruct a large trauma-induced midfacial bone defect and achieved orbital curvature. Successful restoration of anatomical integrity produced satisfactory aesthetics and function. This alloplastic material is advantageous in that there is no donor site morbidity and operation time is minimized. Keywords: Midfacial fractures, polyethylene implantsTurkiye Klinikleri J Ophthalmol 2005, 14:85-88
