aGöz Hastalıkları AD, Marmara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, İSTANBUL Fungal endophthalmitis after keratoplasty is a serious complication that can result in graft failure. The treatment is diffucult owing to poor intraocular penetration of most available antifungal agents. Intacameral amphotericin B may be a useful treatment modality in addition to systemic and topical antifungal threapy. A case of Candida tropicalis endophthalmitis following penetrating keratoplasty treated with repeated intracameral amphotericin B injections is presented in this article. Keywords: Candida tropicalis, endophthalmitis, penetrating keratoplasty, intracameral, amphotericin BTurkiye Klinikleri J Ophthalmol 2005, 14:93-98
