Orbital biopsy was performed and pathology specimen was reported as retinoblastoma. The patient was referred the pediatric oncology clinic and his therapy was planned. After 7 months follow-up the patient died because of central nervous system metastasis.
In the pediatric patient group, when the fundus could not examined directly, ultrasonography and the other imaging studies have to be done. Whenever the retinoblastoma could not be excluded and if it is decided to remove the eye, the operation must be enucleation. Keywords: Retinoblastoma, ultrasonography, exophthalmosTurkiye Klinikleri J Ophthalmol 2006, 15:150-152
