aGöz Hastalıkları Kliniği, Göztepe Eğitim Hastanesi, İSTANBUL A 35 year old female patient admitted to our outpatient service with a complaint of blurring vision on her left eye the previous day. The patient noted that the blurring had lasted for approximately an hour, subsequently fading away. Both her eyes had visual acuity of 20/20 and the ophthalmologic examination was unremarkable except for the multiple scattered intraretinal hemorrhages at the posterior pole in her left eye. The fundus fluorescein angiography revealed no pathology of the retinal vasculature. In recognition of her blurring vision, the patient reported, she had taken 1 tablet of aspirin and recalled no significant physical exertion. Any systemic diseases that may accompany were excluded. The patient was followed up with the diagnosis of spontaneous retinal hemorrhages. The fundus findings of her left eye dissappeared completely within 3 weeks. Keywords: Retinal hemorrhageTurkiye Klinikleri J Ophthalmol 2007, 16:272-274
